1. Who we are
Artful English Studio is operated by Teaching Rascals, the registered trading name of Eleni Konstantelou, a sole trader registered in Greece. Registered address: Λάδωνος 5, Βριλήσσια 152 35, Greece. ΑΦΜ (Greek Tax Identification Number): 135358098. For all enquiries: hello@teachingrascals.com.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Artful English Studio web application (the "Service") and form a legally binding agreement between you and Teaching Rascals. By creating an account or accessing the Service, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for professional English language teachers, educators, and educational institutions. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or make a purchase. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. You must keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately at hello@teachingrascals.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3. Free tier
New accounts are entitled to 5 (five) complimentary lesson generations upon registration. These are provided at our discretion, are non-transferable, carry no monetary value, and may not be exchanged for cash or credit. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw the free tier at any time with reasonable notice to existing users.
4. Paid subscriptions and pricing
The following license tiers are currently available:
- Individual Teacher License: €99 (including VAT) per year, for one named teacher, including up to 150 lesson generations per license year.
- School License: €249 (including VAT) per year, for up to 10 named teachers at the same registered institution, sharing a pooled allowance of 500 lesson generations per license year.
- Lesson Pack: €25 (including VAT), a one-time purchase of 30 lesson generations, valid for 12 months from purchase.
All prices are stated in Euros and include applicable VAT. Annual licenses are one-time payments with no automatic renewal; access is granted for 365 calendar days from the date of successful payment. At the end of the license period, your account reverts to free-tier status unless you purchase a new license. Unused lesson generations do not roll over and have no cash value.
Prices are subject to change. Any price changes will be communicated to active users before they take effect and will not apply to licenses already purchased.
5. Payment processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. Teaching Rascals does not collect, store, or have access to your card details. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy, available at stripe.com.
At checkout, you will be asked to provide your full name, billing address, and, where applicable, a VAT or tax identification number. This information is used to comply with Greek and EU tax obligations and to issue receipts as required by law.
6. EU right of withdrawal and refund policy
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase for any of our paid plans (Teacher, School, or Lesson Pack).
At checkout, you are asked to tick a consent checkbox by which you expressly request that the Service begins immediately and acknowledge, under Article 16(m) of the Directive, that your right of withdrawal ends at the moment you download your first lesson. We record the timestamp of your first lesson download against your account for this purpose.
Before that moment — even after payment — you may withdraw and receive a full refund on request by email to hello@teachingrascals.com. No form, no questions.
After the right of withdrawal has ended, refunds are only available in the following circumstances: (a) a technical fault on our side that prevents you from accessing the Service entirely, reported to hello@teachingrascals.com within 7 days of purchase; or (b) as required by applicable Greek or EU consumer protection law. Partial refunds for unused subscription time are not available. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.
7. License to use generated content
Subject to payment of the applicable fee (or use of your free allowance), Teaching Rascals grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use lesson content generated by the Service for your own professional teaching purposes. Specifically, you may:
- Use generated lessons in your own classroom or teaching sessions.
- Share generated materials directly with your enrolled students.

- Represent generated content as solely your own creation for commercial purposes.

- Share your account credentials with others not covered by your license tier.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund and without prior notice where the violation is serious.
11. Service availability and modifications
We aim to maintain consistent availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice to active paid users of any material changes that affect their use of the Service.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Teaching Rascals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill.
Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@teachingrascals.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any remaining paid subscription period.
We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we cease to operate the Service. Where we terminate for reasons other than breach, we will provide reasonable notice and, where applicable, a pro-rata refund.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and by posting an updated version on the Service. Continued use of the Service after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection rules.
